I‘ve lived and worked around the world: France, Sweden, Japan, the southern Chinese countryside, Hong Kong, Korea, the US, and Canada. For more than a decade I’ve edited for the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
At JAXA, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, I worked with researchers learning technical English. I loved my students—rocket scientists in the department of Space and Astronautical Science who learned to give PechaKucha presentations on space technology. In Tokyo I’ve also been an instructor at Meisei University, edited publications at Tokyo’s English Language Education Council, narrated books and documentaries, and voice-acted for films and video games.
Most of all, I’m a collaborator.
